Working days

Count Singapore working days, add some to a date, and find the best days to take leave around the public holidays.

Your work week
Saturdays too: a 5½ or 6-day week, where Saturday is a working day. Used by all three below.

🧮 Working days between two dates

⏩ Add working days to a date

For deadlines and notice periods: “within 14 working days”. The start date isn’t counted.

🏖️ Leave planner

Each row is the most days off in a row for that much leave, when it beats two days off per day of leave. A holiday on a Saturday doesn’t help a Monday-to-Friday week, so it isn’t planned around.

How the count works

The dates are from MOM: Public holidays (checked 1 Nov 2026), and the weekend rules from Public holidays entitlement and pay. Greyed rows are days in lieu.

Questions

Are Saturdays working days?

Depends on your job. Most offices work Monday to Friday, but many shops, factories and site jobs work a 5½ or 6-day week. Pick “Saturdays too” above and Saturdays count as working days (a half-day Saturday still counts as one).

What happens when a public holiday falls on a weekend?

On a Sunday: the next working day is a paid public holiday, which MOM names, like Monday 10 August 2026 for National Day. On a Saturday, if Saturday isn’t a working day for you: you get another day off or an extra day’s pay, whichever your employer gives.

What about Polling Day and other one-off holidays?

They’re added when they’re declared and MOM lists them, like Polling Day on 3 May 2025. Until then the count can’t know about them.

Does it count school holidays?

No: only public holidays. School holidays aren’t days off from work.

Why only 2025 to 2027?

Those are the years MOM has published. Some holidays follow the lunar or Islamic calendar, so later years aren’t fixed yet. The next year goes in when MOM announces it, usually around the middle of the year.

Is anything I type sent anywhere?

No. It’s all worked out in your browser. The dates go into the page’s address so you can share an answer, and that’s all.
